LIONPRO brings global trade to Esketit

Esketit is expanding into a new sector with LIONPRO, an established international business supplying animal feed ingredients to markets around the world.
Our first company outside the lending sector brings more than 30 years of trading experience and €61.7 million in 2025 revenue. Its financing through Esketit is backed by a Group guarantee and pledged trading assets, giving users access to a business with an established role in the global food supply chain.
Through Esketit, you can purchase claims linked to financing that helps LIONPRO buy goods and keep its international supply chain moving. Here’s why we’re excited to welcome it.
An established business in the global feed supply chain
LIONPRO connects European suppliers of animal protein and fats with feed mills, pet food producers and farms across more than 50 countries. Byproducts unsuitable for human food are processed into valuable feed ingredients, helping make better use of existing resources.
The Latvia-based family business has spent decades building the relationships and local know-how to make that trade work. It sources products, arranges shipping and, in many markets, handles customs, warehousing and delivery close to the customer. It also trains farmers to get more from the ingredients they buy.
That network matters. Finding a buyer is one thing; getting the right product through customs and to a farm thousands of kilometres away takes experience. LIONPRO has been building that experience for over three decades.
The security behind the shipments
The financing offered through Esketit comes with two layers of security:
- A Group guarantee. An additional contractual source of repayment support under the financing documents.
- A pledge over trading assets. Goods in transit, goods in warehouses and trade receivables of the Group companies receiving most of the funding.
These assets sit at the heart of LIONPRO’s business: products being shipped or stored, and payments owed by customers. The security package connects the financing to the trading activity it supports. The precise scope and enforcement of that security are governed by the financing documents.
The funds will support working capital: buying products and serving demand during a trading cycle that typically takes around three to five months. Esketit adds another funding channel alongside the Group’s bank financing, bonds and private funding.
A track record you can check
LIONPRO’s 2025 consolidated financial statements, audited by Ernst & Young Baltic, report €61.7 million in revenue, €8.9 million in gross profit and €0.63 million in net profit. Revenue grew by approximately 14.6% from 2024.
Group company SIA L.J. Linen also has bonds listed on Nasdaq First North. LIONPRO publishes its financial reports on its website, allowing users to review the business and its performance in more detail.
Its Kenyan expansion has attracted support from MIGA, part of the World Bank Group. MIGA issued a guarantee of up to US$9 million covering specified political risks for the Group’s equity contributions and shareholder financing for its Kenyan business for up to ten years. That is a notable milestone for a Latvian business operating internationally. This guarantee applies to that funding in Kenya; it does not cover claims purchased on Esketit.
How the indirect structure works
LIONPRO will be available through an indirect structure. You purchase claims under a financing arrangement that provides funding to the LIONPRO business. Your exposure to its trading assets is through that arrangement; you are not buying individual customer invoices or ownership of a particular shipment.
Repayments follow the relevant financing agreement’s schedule, rather than the arrival of a container or payment of a specific customer invoice. The financing and assignment documents set out the legal parties, payment obligations and security arrangements.
Adding LIONPRO to your strategy
- Diversified strategy. LIONPRO will be added to the Diversified strategy. Users of this strategy do not need to add the company themselves; allocations remain subject to the strategy’s rules and available claims.
- Custom strategy. You’re in the driving seat. To include LIONPRO, open your Custom strategy settings, add the company and save your changes. It will not be added to your Custom strategy automatically.
Explore LIONPRO on the Esketit marketplace and review the available claims and financing terms.
